This is an area where basic note information is shown. When the cursor moves over the fretboard, the note directly under the cursor is displayed here.
These are the parse markers. When using the Chord:Parse Chord Name menu, the chord formation will be displayed only between those markers. The markers can be moved up and down the fretboard.
This is the neck of the instrument (fretboard). This is where the chords are displayed and edited.
This is an editable field where the chord name is displayed.
This is the chord database popup menu. It shows all chords that were created or loaded from a file.
This is the analysis popup menu. The menu shows all chord names that were found during the last chord analysis. You can select any of the listed names.
This is the string disable tool. The string disable tool is used to prevent a string from ringing. Just click on a string to disable it. If the string is already disabled, it is enabled again.
Shortcut: cmd-opt-X
This is the barrﾃｩ tool. The barrﾃｩ tool is used to hold down more than one string on a specific fret. Click on a finger and drag the cursor over another finger on the same fret.
Shortcut: cmd-opt-B
This is the finger tool. The finger tool is used to add fingers to a chord. Click on a string at any fret to add a finger.

This is the Root Note tool. The root note tool is used to specify the root of a chord. To do so, click on a string at a specified fret. An open string can also be set as the root note by holding down the option key.
